Toilet sex assault on teenage girl
CHILD Abuse Squad detectives are appealing for public assistance as they investigate the sexual assault of a teenage girl in Gunnedah on Monday afternoon.
Police have been told the 15-year-old went to public toilets at Wolsley Park, Gunnedah, at 4:35pm and was confronted by a man.
The girl was sexually assaulted before the man walked from the scene.
Police were contacted and the girl was taken to hospital.
Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad are now investigating the matter and are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
In particular, they are seeking information on a man described as being aged between 20 and 30 with a skinny build, olive skin and stubble on his face.
He was wearing dark-coloured tracksuit pants, a dark-coloured hooded top and sunglasses.
