Strict bail for alleged sex attackers
STRICT conditional bail has been granted three of four males who allegedly sexually assaulted a teenage girl after she was “corralled” in a park at Orange.
Three juveniles and an 18-year-old man were charged by police last Thursday with aggravated assault in company.
One of the juveniles did not apply for bail.
Orange Local Court heard yesterday (Tuesday) the males now face a more serious charge of aggravated sexual assault and deprivation of liberty.
The court was told the 18-year-old victim left a party after a fight erupted and went to another house, where she played computer games with the accused.
Police allege two males, one known and the other unknown to the victim, agreed to escort her home.
The victim was allegedly pushed to the ground when two other males, who had been at the house earlier, approached as she walked across the park.
Police allege she was then forced into sexual acts with the males.
The accused are due again in court in October. |
