Four years’ gaol for two-day crime spree
ONE of two men responsible for a two-day crime spree in Griffith and Leeton last August has been gaoled for four years.
Joshua Allan Biggs, 20, was found guilty in Griffith District Court of two counts of robbery in company, one count of aggravated break and enter and one count of robbery.
The spree began last August 15 when Biggs and an alleged accomplice committed numerous offences in Griffith.
The next morning the two men smashed their way into a supermarket but were scared off by employees.
At 8am the men flagged down a driver at Euroley, threatened him with a screwdriver and stole his utility.
Forty-five minutes later Biggs stole a packet of cigarettes from a store in Whitton.
Biggs was arrested in Lake Cargelligo the next day and later admitted the offences.
He will be eligible for parole on August 16 next year. |
