House damaged by quake

Above: Earthquake damage to the exterior of the Harvey's house on Young Rd.
AT LEAST one house in Cowra was damaged in Friday night’s earthquake.
Helen Harvey contacted CCN to report her Young Rd home sustained cracks in one wall, while a wall and a brick chimney moved away from an outside wall during the earthquake.
In an interview with CCN Editor Garry Starr yesterday (Sunday), Ms Harvey says she and her husband at first thought someone was coming through the front door in a Mack truck.
Ms Harvey says she suspected her husband had fallen over when she heard the rumble. He thought she had fallen.
A big bang then sounded and they believed a visitor had arrived in a big truck.
Ms Harvey, who comes from New York, says she’s never before experienced an earthquake and will be happy to never again experience one.
